Privacy & Terms

Last updated: May 2026

This site is operated by Chris Chester, trading as Chris Teaches AI, based in Valencia, Spain. It is a personal portfolio and professional services site. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, how it is used, and your rights.

What data is collected

Google Analytics (GA4)
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it. GA4 collects anonymised data — pages visited, time spent, general location (country/city level), device type, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is collected by Analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4.

Giscus comments
The blog uses Giscus for comments, which is powered by GitHub Discussions. If you leave a comment, you must be logged into GitHub — your GitHub username and comment are stored publicly in the Portfolio-Website repository's Discussions. GitHub's privacy policy governs that data. I have no access to your GitHub account beyond what you post publicly.

Contact emails
If you email me directly at chriscteacher@gmail.com, your email address and message are stored in my email inbox. They are not shared with any third party, not added to any mailing list, and deleted on request.

No contact form
This site does not have a contact form, so no form submission data is collected or stored on any server.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to track sessions and distinguish users. These are analytics cookies only — no advertising or tracking cookies are used on this site. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data I hold about you. Since this site collects very little personal data, in practice this means:

To exercise any of these rights, email chriscteacher@gmail.com.

Terms of use

The content on this site — articles, project descriptions, copy — is the work of Chris Chester. You are welcome to quote or reference it with attribution. Reproducing it in full without permission is not permitted.

The code for this site is available on GitHub. You are welcome to learn from it. Please do not clone it wholesale and present it as your own.

This site is provided as-is. While I do my best to keep it accurate and up to date, I make no guarantees about the completeness or reliability of its content.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes significantly, the "last updated" date at the top will reflect that. For minor changes, no notice will be given beyond updating this page.
